Judging a Book by it's cover....

We get two kinds of construction workers at the bank. The one (more common) comes in, doesn't have an account for whatever reason and cashes his check every other Friday. We charge them $5 to cash a check and offer to waive the fee for ever if they just open an account. Every week they say no, each has a reason, none are legit.

The other construction worker comes in and cashes a large check (2-3k). He asks for certain bills and then goes out to his truck and pays his workers. Both lead lives I hardly envy.

Last Friday a Mexican man walked in and took him for the first construction worker. He met the physical description to the letter. Dirty, typical construction tee shirt, torn jeans and all. He shocked me when he told me he wanted the balance of his account. What really surprised me was that his balance was just shy of $150,000. (that's american dollars)

Yeah, just when you think you know what to expect from people a guy with the ability to write a $100,000 check wearing dirty jeans asks you for his balance.

Update

Well, to all who are wondering... I have made it back from the wedding and honeymoon. Staci and I are figuring out how to be married. I think it is going great so far. We both appreciate the company and the power of two worker around the house/incomes/personalities. I'm going to strongly recommend this whole marriage thing, but make sure you find the right one. Find someone you just like to be around, who shares many of the same views as you, but also challenges you to become a better person every day.
